Korbi Hort | Director
Korbi has applied a profound understanding about the psychology of adventure and nature experiences across a wide range of projects. His work has created a growing network linking business leaders, psychologists, educators and outdoor professionals to a common mission: to facilitate the emergence of a peaceful world that our children will want to inherit. The trick of sustainability is to nourish rather than impoverish other beings - a principle at the core of a huge cultural challenge. The first step into the unknown is always an adventure. Korbi graduated at the University of Edinburgh in Outdoor Education with Environmental Studies and is currently visiting the MSc in Sustainability and Responsibility at Ashridge. He is founder of Easy Day and a co-founder of Active Earth Learning and the Active Earth Foundation.
Charlie Donovan | Director
Charlie works with emerging leaders in graduate business schools to develop their full potential. He is currently a Visiting Professor in the Department of Finance at EADA Business School (Barcelona) and teaches in the Executive MBA program at Imperial College Business School (London). He was most recently the Head of Investment Structuring for Alternative Energy at BP plc, where he was responsible for acquisition and divestment of large renewable energy projects in North America, Europe and Asia. Charlie began his career working on energy policy at the US EPA during the Clinton Administration. His experience includes several years in private sector consulting, advising national governments and multinational energy companies in Europe on the impacts of environmental regulations on investment. Charlie holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Washington and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He is currently a doctoral candidate at the IE Business School in Madrid.
Andres Roberts | Director
Andres works with businesses and organisations to develop new ways of working for our future as human beings. He is a partner and consultant with Kessels & Smit The Learning Company – a unique consultancy with a growing international reputation. Andres designs and produces deep learning and transformation experiences using experience, interaction and play. He writes, speaks and connects on themes including creativity, play and the ‘virtuous organisation’. Andres is also studying for an MSc in Responsibility and Sustainability at Ashridge. Previously he was founder of Eudemonic, an innovation and learning agency in London and before that he worked in the private sector in strategy and marketing.

Tom Hodgkin | Project Management
Tom has been facilitating adventure eco-education programs internationally for many years. His motivation stems from a passion for the outdoors, especially white-water kayaking, with varied academic interests in the natural sciences and responsible business innovation. He has studied biological sciences at the University of Edinburgh, specialising in Developmental Biology. He is currently studying for an MSc in Responsibility and Business Practice at the University of Bath Management School. Tom’s work is driven by his passion to raise awareness for a fair and sustainable future.
Jed Milroy | Project Management
Jed brings a sharp mind and a great sense of humour to the management team. His interest in ideas and meaning led him to study philosophy at the University of Edinburgh. Jed believes there is an urgent need for a new strategy concerning the way we live and think to live in-tune with Earth’s natural systems. As an accomplished musician, Jed has been part of international rock act 'The Aliens' amongst many other musical projects including 'Emotional Literacy' work in primary schools, and the infamous Glastonbury Music Festival.
Patrick Cave | Head Guide
As Head Guide at ActiveEarth/EasyDay, Paddy brings many inspirational qualities to the team. His unrivalled enthusiasm for the outdoors is combined with a vibrant personality and a deep understanding of technical and psychological aspects of our work. Paddy holds a degree in Outdoor Studies from the University of Cumbria, England. He is currently working towards gaining the top British Mountaineering qualification. As a gifted athlete, Paddy is also pushing the limits in free-ride mountain biking and white-water kayaking.
